Taxonomy
Teuchopora was named by Neviani (1895) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-u-u Q Plei]. It is extant. It is the type genus of Teuchoporidae.

It was assigned to Phylactellidae by Bassler (1953); to Cheilostomata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Teuchoporidae by Pouyet (2000), Gordon (2012).
