Taxonomy
Pelargorhynchus dercetiformis was named by von der Marck (1858). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Area around Sendenhorst, which is in a Campanian carbonate lime mudstone in the Ahlen Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Pelargorhynchus.
