Taxonomy
Canningbole latimargo was named by Feist and McNamara (2013). Its type specimen is WAM 11.141, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 14. Upper Phacopid Gully, which is in a Frasnian perireef or subreef limestone in the Virgin Hills Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Canningbole.
