Gifuaparchites takagii
Taxonomy
Gifuaparchites takagii was named by Tanaka and Maeda (2013). Its type specimen is GMNH-PI-4115, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kinshozan Mountain fissure, Akasaka, which is in a Capitanian carbonate mudstone in the Akasaka Formation of Japan. It is the type species of Gifuaparchites.
