Taxonomy
Amphissites (Amphissites) neocentronotus was named by Becker and Wang (1992). Its type specimen is NIGP 115663, a valve (left valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Beichuan, sample ACF1-275, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Wujiaping Formation of China.
