Taxonomy
Sillustania was named by Crochet and Sigé (1996). Its type is Sillustania quechuense. It is the type genus of Sillustaniidae.

It was assigned to Polydolopimorphia by Sigé et al. (2004); and to Sillustaniidae by Chornogubsky and Goin (2015).
