Rhodanodolichotis antepridiana was named by Walton (1990) [Etymology pridianus: of yesterday. Antepridianus: from the day before yesterday.]. Its type specimen is UCMP 41671, a mandible ( left mandible with p4-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil.

A. H. Walton 1990Most primitive species of Rhodanodolichotis; anterior most prism of p4 short, widely attached to middle prism; sulcus on posterior prism of molars slightly deeper than Prodolichotis or Eodolichotis, sulcus on anterior prism extremely shallow; dentine tracks wide. m1-3 with narrow bridge connecting prisms. Shelf for M. masseter medialis terminates anteriorly at level of posterior m2. Size slightly smallet than Prodolichotis pridiana.
