Taxonomy
Kutorgina was named by Billings (1861) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-l Cm Tojo-u Sepkoski's reference number: 19,522,1066]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Kutorginidae.

It was reranked as Obolella (Kutorgina) by Billings (1861).

It was assigned to Obolella by Billings (1861); to Kutorginidae by Williams et al. (2000); and to Kutorginida by Bengtson (1992), Sepkoski (2002).
