Spelled Orthis McFarlanei by Meek. Shimer & Shrock (1944) correct the species name to macfarlanii.
Taxonomy
Orthis mcfarlanei was named by Meek (1868). Its type specimen is YPM S1467a–c, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Schizophoria macfarlanii by Shimer and Shrock (1944); it was recombined as Schizophoria (Schizophoria) macfarlanii by Stigall Rode (2005).
