Taxonomy
Septidelphis morii was named by Bianucci (2013). Its type specimen is MPTAM 216.13306, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Settime, which is in a Zanclean marine horizon in the Sabbie d'Asti Formation of Italy.
