Taxonomy
Fenestrellina sparsinodata was named by Crockford (1946). Its type specimen is UQ F7952 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lakes Creek Quarry, Trachypora horizon, Rockhampton, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Berserker Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Fenestella sparsinodata by Maxwell (1964).
