Taxonomy
Visbyella was named by Walmsley et al. (1968).

It was assigned to Dalmanellidae by Temple (1987); to Orthida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Resserellinae by Bassett and Cocks (1974), Williams et al. (2000), Rubel (2011).
