Taxonomy
Striatobythoceratina baloghi was named by Kozur (1985). Its type specimen is P 1484/Ko 1980 I-5 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nagyvisnyó Railway Cut 5, sample Bükk 30/1977, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Nagyvisnyo Formation of Hungary.
