Taxonomy
Bellerophon petinensis was named by Nalivkin (1930). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Petino Village, which is in a Frasnian carbonate limestone in the Semiluki Formation of the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Semilukispira petinensis by Blodgett and Frýda (1999).
