Taxonomy
Cyclophthalmus senior was named by Corda (1835). Its type specimen is NMP Inv. 801 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Chomle (Sternberg coll), which is in a Westphalian C terrestrial shale/coal in the Kladno Formation of the Czech Republic.
