Amarixys sulcata
Taxonomy
Kustarachne sulcata was named by Melander (1903). Its type specimen is FMNH UC 9235, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mazon Creek (FMNH Gurley collection), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois.
It was recombined as Curculioides sulcatus by Petrunkevitch (1913), Petrunkevitch (1949) and Petrunkevitch (1953); it was recombined as Amarixys sulcata by Selden (1992) and Dunlop et al. (2013).
