Dongyangopelta yangyanensis
Taxonomy
Dongyangopelta yangyanensis was named by Chen et al. (2013). Its type specimen is DYM F0136, a set of postcrania (dorsosacral vertebrae, sacral vertebrae, dorsal ribs, partial right ilium, right femur, three pedal phalanges, osteoderms and ossified tendons), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pinglinggang Hill, Yangyan Village, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian lacustrine sandstone in the Chaochuan Formation of China.
