Taxonomy
Grandaurispina was named by Muir-Wood and Cooper (1960) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon-m P Guad-u Sepkoski's reference number: 7,963]. It is not extant. Its type is Grandaurispina kingorum. It is the type genus of Grandaurispininae.

It was assigned to Grandaurispininae by Williams et al. (2000); and to Strophomenida by Sepkoski (2002).
