Taxonomy
Lissodus wardi was named by Duffin (1985). It is not extant. Its type specimen is P.58701 (BM(NH)), a tooth. Its type locality is Watton Cliff (West Cliff), Dorset, which is in a Bathonian crevasse splay mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom.
