Taxonomy
Premontreia degremonti was named by Cappetta (1992). Its type specimen is no number, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Prémontré, which is in a MP 10 marginal marine sandstone in France.
It was recombined as Premontreia (Premontreia) degremonti by Noubhani and Cappetta (1997).

Face linguale convexe /~ 6mail compl6tement lisse ; face labiale peu convexe portant sa base des plis verticaux nombreux, parall61es, plus ou moins flexueux et tr6s courts, ne d6passant jamais la hauteur des talons. Limite labiale de l'6mail rectiligne, souvent tr6s 16g6rement concave m6dianement. Face labiale de la couronne surplombant h peine la racine, maJs sans diff6rentiation de bourrelet. Pr6sence d'une paire de denticules largements unis ~ la cuspide, pointus mais assez larges et bas ou de talons tranchants courts et obliques, d6pourvus de denticules,/~ bords marginaux arrondis en vue labiale. Partie m6dio-basale de la face labiale de la couronne d6prim6e.
Racine haute et 6paisse, ~ face basilaire large et plate divis6e par un sillon m6dian profond en forme d'f2. Foramen principal en position tout ~tfait linguale. La face linguale, bien d6velopp6e et oblique, porte de nombreux foramens elliptiques. Face labiale haute, concave, avec lobes d6bordant largement en vue occlusale. Des foramens plus ou moins nombreux s'ouvrent au-dessus du bord basilaire labial. |
