Gleicheniidites serratus was named by Archangelsky and Llorens (2005). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is ACM Kachaike, which is in an Aptian/Albian delta plain sandstone/shale in the Kachaike Formation of Argentina.

Laesurae straight to weakly sinuous, with narrow, elevated lips extending to amb. Interradial ecuatorial crassitudes well defined, 3-5 μm thickness, with serrated extern margins. Exine smooth to sculptured by very small sparse granules (< 1 μm). |
