Senipites tercrassata
Taxonomy
Senipites tercrassata was named by Archangelsky (1973). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: p.m. 1010; coord. 44/112.9. Stored at Museo de La Plata, Paleobotanical division., a microspore (Pollen grain). Its type locality is Puerto Visser, which is in a Danian terrestrial horizon in the Salamanca Formation of Argentina.

| S. Archangelsky 1973 | Grano oblado-esferoidal, de contorno subtriangular a subcircular en vista polar. Colpos llegando a más de la mitad del radio de márgenes delicados a engrosados, poros vestibulados, levemente engrosados en sus contornos, formados por una inflexión de la capa interna. Exina de hasta 2.5 µ de espesor, más engrosada en los polos y mesocolpios, donde presenta una esculturación más desarrollada; en dichas áreas ambas capas de la exina se separan, observándose columelas; en este sector la exina es semitectada y las cabezas de las columelas, algo ensanchadas, no forman retículo; la capa interna es más gruesa en los mesocolpios. |
