Trilites fasolae

Taxonomy
Trilites fasolae was named by Archangelsky (1972) [Others samples: p.m. 704, coord. 22.5/112.5; p.m. 715; coord. 34.7/117.1. Others measurement: equatorial diameter, 44-64, µ. 12 specimens. Locality. Wells D-13, D-15, T-134, D-17, C-2, P-15.]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: p.m. 748, coord. 35.6,/111. Stored at Museo de La Plata, Paleobotanical division., a microspore (Spore). Its type locality is Pozo D-13, which is in an Eocene coastal horizon in the Río Turbio Formation of Argentina.

S. Archangelsky 1972Espora trilete, distalmente globosa, de contorno ecuatorial triangular, de lados convexos y angulos redondeados. Lesura a
veces con labios engrosados, llegando cerca de los angulos. Exina ornamentada con rúgulas irregulares, de aspecto vermiforme, tanto en las caras distal como proximal. Espesor de la exina hasta 4 µ. Exina en los angulos algo mas engrosada que en los lados.
