Taxonomy
Astarte subvoltzii was named by Chen (1982). It is a mold. Its type locality is KHG 46, Jinji Hill, Kaiping, which is in a Bucklandi/Semicostatum marine mudstone/siltstone in the Jinji Formation of China.
