Taxonomy
Piscator tenuirostris was named by Harrison and Walker (1976). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hordle Cliff (generic, non-specific locality), which is in an Eocene marine horizon in the Headon Beds Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Piscator.
