Taxonomy
Curculioides pococki was named by Selden (1992). Its type specimen is BMNH I. 7885, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Coseley, near Dudley (Madeley coll), which is in a Westphalian B interdistributary bay shale in the United Kingdom.
