Amarixys gracilis
Taxonomy
Curculioides gracilis was named by Petrunkevitch (1945). Its type specimen is ISM 14862, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Mazon Creek (Illinois State Museum collection), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois.
It was recombined as Amarixys gracilis by Selden (1992), Whalen and Selden (2020).
