Plioprojapyx primitivus
Taxonomy
Plioprojapyx primitivus was named by Pierce (1951). Its type specimen is LACM fossil insect BQ29 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bonner quarry, Onyx Marble, which is in a Pliocene cave travertine in the Onyx Marble Formation of Arizona. It is the type species of Plioprojapyx.
