Desmatolagus periaralicus
Taxonomy
Desmatolagus periaralicus was named by Lopatin (1998). Its type specimen is PIN, no. 4516/99, a tooth (Right P3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Altynshokysu (bone bed I), which is in an Oligocene terrestrial siltstone/claystone in the Aral Formation of Kazakhstan.
