Taxonomy
Macandrevia nipponica was named by Nomura and Hatai (1936). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Iwaizawa, Yazawagi-mura, which is in a Serravallian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Sugota Formation of Japan.
