Taxonomy
Santonitermes transbaikalicus was named by Vršanský and Aristov (2014). Its type specimen is PIN 4626/157, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Chernovskie Kopi (PIN collection 4626), which is in a Barremian terrestrial horizon in the Doronino Formation of the Russian Federation.
