Knerichthys bronni
Taxonomy
Pholidophorus bronnii was named by Kner (1866). Its type specimen is GVA 1866/004/0009, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Raibl, Carinthia (Stur collection), which is in a Julian basinal (carbonate) limestone in Italy. It is the type species of Knerichthys.
It was corrected as Pholidophorus bronni by Bassani (1886); it was recombined as Knerichthys bronni by Arratia (2013).
