Marambiotherium glacialis
Taxonomy
Marambiotherium glacialis was named by Goin et al. (1999). Its type specimen is MLP 95-I-10-1, a mandible (a fragment of a right mandibular ramus with a complete m4 (Figs. 9A-C) and the posterior alveolus of m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IAA 1/90, which is in a Ypresian estuary/bay horizon in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica. It is the type species of Marambiotherium.
