Spongiophonus pustulosus
Taxonomy
Spongiophonus pustulosus was named by Wills (1947). Its type specimen is CAMSM Wills 280 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Borehole at Southalls Works, Charford, Birmingham, which is in an Anisian pond shale in the Bromsgrove Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Spongiophonus.
