Taxonomy
Palaeoeuscorpius gallicus was named by Lourenço (2003). Its type specimen is MNHN ARC236-2/5 and is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Charentese amber, Archingeay-Les-Nouillers, subunit A1sl-A, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in France. It is the type species of Palaeoeuscorpius.
