Taxonomy
Eokosovopeltis grandicurvatus was named by Edgecombe et al. (2007). Its type specimen is UTGD 81124, a cephalon/head (cranidium and associated right librigena), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Adamsfield Track, about 1 km west of bridge over Florentine River, which is in an Eastonian shallow subtidal limestone in the Benjamin Limestone Formation of Australia.

relatively strongly divergent anterior to S2.
Glabellar furrows faintly impressed on external and internal surfaces of exoskeleton, none pit-like; S1 and S2 confluent with axial furrow; L2 gently swollen as round lateral lobe. Cranidium wider across β than γ , with relatively broad anterior margin and wide preocular fixigenal field.
