Taxonomy
Colinus suilium was named by Brodkorb (1959). Its type specimen is UF/PB 1291, a limb element (left humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arredondo IA, which is in a Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in Florida.
