Taxonomy
Acantherpestes vicinus was named by Fritsch (1899). Its type specimen is CGH Me 1 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is NĂ½řany (Insect Collection), which is in a Moscovian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Kladno Formation of the Czech Republic.
