Nyranius costulatus
Taxonomy
Julus costulatus was named by Frič (1875). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Nýřany (Insect Collection), which is in a Moscovian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Kladno Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Nyranius.
It was recombined as Xylobius costulatus by Fritsch (1895) and Fritsch (1899); it was recombined as Nyranius costulatus by Hoffman (1963) and Štamberg and Zajíc (2008).
