Lanceoptychites charlyanus
Taxonomy
Ptychites charlyanus was named by Diener (1900). Its type specimen is GBA 1900/3/37 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schiechlinghöhe (Geol Reichsanstalt coll), which is in an Illyrian carbonate limestone in the Schreyeralm Formation of Austria.
It was recombined as Lanceoptychites charlyanus by Balini (1998).
