Taxonomy
Murchisonia cingulata demidoffi was named by Murchison et al. (1845) [Murchisonia cingulata Demidoffi]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Murchisonia demidoffi by Tschernischeff (1893), Wenjukov (1899); it was recombined as Catazone demidoffi by Wagner (2023).
