Taxonomy
Bellerophon ouralicus was named by Murchison et al. (1845) [de Verneuil in Murchison, de Verneuil & de Keyserling 1845]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was corrected as Bellerophon uralicus by Wenjukov (1899); it was recombined as Ptychosphaera ouralicus by Wagner (2023).
