Gypsonicus wyomingensis
Taxonomy
Gypsonicus wyomingensis was named by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2014). Its type specimen is USNM 593552, a carapace, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is West flank of Big Horn Mountains, which is in a Bajocian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Gypsum Spring Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Gypsonicus.
