Docodon apoxys
Taxonomy
Docodon apoxys was named by Rougier et al. (2014). Its type specimen is DMNH 42198, a partial skull (a nearly complete left dentary with alveoli for i1–i4, p1, and crowns of the canine, p2–p4, and m1–m7), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Small's Quarry, Garden Park, which is in a Tithonian pond mudstone in the Morrison Formation of Colorado.
