Meoma tuberculata was named by Hutton (1873). Its type specimen is EC.687, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Pericosmus tuberculatus by Tate (1888).

Synonyms
  • Eupatagus decipiens was named by Tate (1891). It is a 3D body fossil.

    It was recombined as Macropneustes decipiens by Gregory (1892); it was recombined as Meoma decipiens by Tate and Dennant (1896); it was synonymized subjectively with Meoma tuberculata by Henderson (1975).
