Taxonomy
Anaxeodesmus diambonotus was named by Wilson (2005). Its type specimen is NHM In.18370 and is an impression. Its type locality is Coseley, near Dudley (BMNH coll), which is in a Westphalian B interdistributary bay shale in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Anaxeodesmus.
