Taxonomy
Berkeia glabellamersa was named by Wilson (1949). Its type specimen is CW- 23, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 42-7.8, which is in a Furongian marine limestone in the Wilberns Formation of Texas.
