Antemnacrassa punctata
Taxonomy
Protoscarabaeus punctatus was named by Ponomarenko (1986). Its type specimen is PIN 3149/978, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Gurvan-Ereny-Nuruu (Outcrop 236/29), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale/sandstone in the Gurvan-Eren Formation of Mongolia.
It was recombined as Holcorobeus (Holcorobeus) punctatus by Nikolajev (1992), Krell (2000); it was recombined as Antemnacrassa punctata by Nikolajev (2004), Nikolajev (2007), Neita-Moreno et al. (2019).
