Taxonomy
Eosciadocera setosa was named by Brown (2002). Its type specimen is Hoffeins 1279, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Hoffeins/Deutsches Entomologische Institut collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
