Taxonomy
Posidonia circularis was named by Hsu (1937). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chinglungshan CLS6, Longtanzhen, which is in an Induan marine shale in China.
It was recombined as Bositra circularis by Pan et al. (2014).
